In a message on Geni.com from Leah Cook (Hutten) to Mark Melmed, dated July, 2015, she wrote:
Dear Mark,
I am contacting you about this profile: Yehoshua Gutensky
Two years ago I came across a photo of Zvi Krup and Minna Gutensky Krup in my father's papers. Minna is my father's first cousin, and I met her when I visited Israel in 1968. I have found so little about my father's family since I started doing genealogy in 2001, so I do hope that we can connect our respective families.
Yehoshua Gutensky is my grandfather Meyer's brother. Meyer Gutensky immigrated to the USA in 1907. HIs wife and 3 sons (one is my father) came in 1912. The wife, Miriam, did not join her husband in America. Hence, I know very little about the family. I have other cousins in America who are descendants of another brother of Yehoshua and Meyer.
Please contact me so that we can join our family trees and families.
... as I was writing this note to you, I saw a request for me to contact you dated October 18, 2013. Believe it or not, this is my first login to Geni in many years.
Yours, Leah Cook Sarasota, FL
