About Yitzhak (Icek) Meir Lewenstein
In 1886, he donated money to help colonists in Israel (see "Shtetl Finder")
"Itchi Meir" died of a heart attack at the age of 50 after the funeral of a very close friend of his.
According to Moshe Evenary, "some pages of the first book of the "Order of Lineage" written by Josef Lewenstein, are rubber stamps with my late Father's name Itzhak Meir Loewenstein of the community of the town of Koshitz (or as it is named in Polish "Koszyce") and in the middle of rubber stamp, there is the wording: "SCION OF THE MONARCHY OF THE HOUSE OF DAVID" (of course it is in Hebrew)."
Koszyce is 29 miles north-east from Krakow.
