About Yoel Zvi Landau, of Kurima
From http://kevarim.com/rabbi-yoel-tzvi-landau/
Kalever Rosh Yeshiva d. 29 Tishrei, 1904
Directions to his grave: Union Field Cemetery, 82-11 Cypress Avenue, Ridgewood, NY 11385 (Path X, Gate: 23)
According to a comment on the website above, Rabbi Yoel Tzvi Landau came to America to collect money for his Yeshivah. He died in the USA and was buried in Queens. His wife and most of his descendants continued to live in Hungary / Romania until the Holocaust.
Altenatively, another source shows that he was in heavy debt which is why he came to the USA to raise funds. There he heard that his wife Glikale died, and that he lost his house, and so he decided to stay in the USA and remarried there, for a short while.
