MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Yvonne "Tootie" Wingard, 72, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Yvonne was born in McAlevys Fort on Aug. 18, 1939, and was a daughter of the late Roland and Charlotte Johnson Eschenbach.

She was a member of Saint Philip Lutheran Church since 1966 and was a current member of the church council, a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Myrtle Beach Realtors Association and was an employee of the Noble Company as an agent. Yvonne had been involved with the J. Ruben Long Detention Center Prison Ministry and was active in registration at the election polls.

Surviving are: her husband, Arthur L. Ray, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; six children, Debbie Hocutt of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Diane Movsky of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Arthur Ray of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Cheryl Farner of San Antonio, Texas, Mark Ray of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Ronald Ray of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a brother, Junior Eschenbach of McAlevys Fort; six grandchildren, Jade Hocutt, Shandi Movsky, Taran Movsky, Rachel Farner, Christina Ray and Daniel Farner; and five great-grandchildren, Skyler, Bryson, Audrey, Bradly and Andrew Desten.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home, Belleville.

Graveside interment services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Saint Stephens Cemetery, McAlevys Fort.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society of Grand Strand Shelter, 3241 10th Ave. N., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
