About Zachariah Trent, Sr.
GEDCOM Note
These Arms were hanging in our house since I was born. They were included in my grandmother's (Kathleen May Trent) papers. Along with the crest was paperwork from my G Guncle to one Louis P Selden from Richmond. Louis was a Heraldic Artist, and wanted to know if Uncle Newton wanted him to "start" on the Trent Arms as he had found the correct Trent Arms of VA, matching the members of our Trents with the Arms. There are also drawings I am sure my G Guncle did. As with the Steppe Arms, I am sure these were painted by my uncle. The correspondence is dated Mar 3, 1939. The motto is "Cassis Tutissima Virtus", meaning "Honor is the Reward of Loyalty".
