Zacheus immigrated to Massachusetts. He arrived in Boston April 5, 1635 aboard the ship "James".
He and his wife Joanna had the following children:

Zacheus Curtis, {Fictional} b. 1587 Downton, Wiltshire, England Died 1678 in Topsfield, Essex, Massachusetts & his wife Mary Delitha Curtis, {Fictional} Born about 1597 in Downton, Wiltshire, England Died about 1623 in Massachusetts were previously disconnected. (The names of this couple turn out to be for people from the 19th/20th Century, see Zaccheus Curtis (1864-1949) ) The correct parents were identified and published in the Summer 2023 NEHGR.[11]

Arundel (Kennebunkport), Maine, pp. 53-55. Left Southampton, England, 5 April 1635 on the James. Residence was Downton, Wiltshire. In Salem in 1643 where he was charged with pasturing cattle in the north corn fields. By 1658 in Reading, renting land from John Gould. Next to Gloucester where an agreement for employment failed, resulting in a lawsuit. By 1660 in Rowley Village (later Boxford) where he obtained land from Zacheus Gould, father of John Gould.
Historical Collections of the Essex Institute, vol. 29, p. 1, 1892. Of Gloucester, he settled in Boxford about 1661. Half a dozen children by wife Joanna. Ephraim inherited the homestead upon his father's death.

Zaccheus Curtis, Curtice, Curtise, or Curtize came in the James from Southampton in 1635 to Salem. From Downton, Wiltshire. Received land grant 1646, but moved to Gloucester where his wife was Joan.
Pope's Pioneers of Massachusetts, p. 126. Zaccheus Curtis, Curtice, Cuttris, Cortis, of Downton, England, arrived in the James 5 April 1635. Settled in Salem. Bought a house near Brooksby, Marblehead. Land grant 1646. Wife Mary at Topsfield where child Mary died 31 December 1674. Wife Mary died 21 October 1683. Zaccheus died 7 November 1683. [This confuses Zacheus Sr. with his son Zacheus Jr.]
