Clarence Edward Stevens, 74 of Atwater Ohio passed away on Monday morning at Robinson Memorial Hospital after an exxtended illness. Mr Stevens was born on May 8, 1936 in Warriors Fork, West Virginia to the late Thomas and Ollie (Myers) Stevens; he lived in Atwater most of his life. He attended school in West Virginia Clarence worked as a coal miner in WV, at A.C. Williams in Ravenna and TruCast in Akron as a molder, he also owned and operated Deerfield Auto salvage until he became ill and no longer could work 14 years ago. Mr. Stevens enjoyed hunting, working on and painting cars, and his favorite past time was spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom dearly love and miss him. Clarence is survived by his wife, Charlotte L. (Ward) Stevens whom he married on November 2, 1957 and truly love more than life itself. His sons; Clarence (Sheila) Stevens Jr. of Cuttituck, North Carolina, Robert (Sylvia) Stevens of Atwater, Donald Stevens of Alliance, John (Trudy) Stevens of Alliance, his daughters; Charlene (Bill) Wallace of Canton, Mary (Tim) Thompson of Alliance, Barb (Donnie) Small of Magadore, Susan (Scott) Robinson of Newton Falls, Pam (Richard) Makin of Damascus, 22 grandchildren, and 15 plus great grandchildren. He is also urvivd by a sister Opal McCourt of Kent, Ohio and a brother David (Lillian) Stevens of Wallace W.Va. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Thomas L., Mark F., Paul M. a sister Hazel Wells and three brothers; Alfred, James, and Ray Stevens. A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 2, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with Pastor Ron Lanham officiating. Burial will take place in Atwater Cemetery.
