I was born in 1841 my father was donald mcdougall wine and spirit merchant, and my mother was mary leith.

in 1851 census we ere living at anderston quay glasgow, with my brother dougall and sister catherine.

In 1871 I was living at 85 king street glasgow aged 29 years and I was a cab hirer, living with my sister jessie, and my grandmother, christina mcnaughton, who was 84 years old and she was born in perth. I took up with mary ann kane and her 3 chidren, lived with her and had 4 children with her.
