Richard Window was from Brampton, Oxfordshire, England. At least one family genealogy states he was born there on March 16, 1622.[1] It is said that Richard had married in England to a widow whose name is Unknown, on July 22, 1643, but he left her behind when he emigrated to Gloucester, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, New England in about 1645.[2] She had a son, born in England, from a previous marriage by the name of Richard Goodwin, born about 1641, most-likely in Oxfordshire.[3]On February 21, 1648, Richard reported her dead from Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts Bay. It's very doubtful she ever left England

Richard Goodwin 1614 - his son Richard born 1636 and wife/mother were scheduled to sail to America when Richard 1614 was killed in a steeple race accident the DAY BEFORE family of 3 were to sail to America - Bridget and son Richard continued on the journey to Massachusetts and left the burial of husband to friends . They settled in the Brigewater area - she subsequently remarried and the family continued in that area. [This does not seem accurate]

• Richard Goodwin married Bridgett Fitts and they had a least two children: Richard Goodwin b. 1640 England and Elizabeth Goodwin also born in England. Bridgett Fitts went on to remarry Henry Travers (Travis) and then Richard Window (Windoe). [Not so, according to Anderson’s “Great Migration Begins”. See Bridget Window.]
