Did Anne also have the name Catherine?
The following information comes from an unsourced Ancestry.com profile. Double first names like "Catherine Anne" were very unusual in this time period. Francis had a daughter Anne and there is no evidence she ever was also knon by Catherine.
Name: Catherine //
Given Name: Catherine [4]
Was "Annie" Browning part Shawnee?
There seems to be no truth to the rumor that Catherine Anne "Annie" Browning was part Shawnee though two books claim she was. There are also many trees making Joseph's wife Morning Dove, which seems to patently false.
Was Ann, daughter of Francis, the wife of Joseph?
It's also been claimed that Catherine Ann, Joseph's wife, was the daughter of Francis Browning though there's no tangible proof that due to his statement that he transferred next to Joseph Calloway's to a third party out of "his natural love and affection for his daughter Anne."
