In the project entitled "Let's build up the Jewish Genealogy Portal" Let's build up the Jewish Genealogy Portal, we have been discussing the possibility of adding Jewish profiles, in mass, by using US census data. There are a number of issues that may have to be overcome to utilize this data in the most efficient way.
Since this is a general problem, not at all restricted to Jewish folks, I've decided to open up this as a separate project to discuss the issues and come up with a generic solution that may be applied to many situations.
