The Allen name is used since no other name is known.
Allen Cemetery is located eight miles north of Opelika on US Highway 431, .3 mile south of the Chambers County line and 400 feet east of the highway on crest of ridge.
There appears to be about 20 graves with no identification of any kind - - just caved in areas. The cemetery is in poor condition and there is no road or trail leading to it. Some of the monuments are really nice and are legible.
Stones for Ashbury Hudson & Eliza T Allen are 55 inches high and 20 inches wide. They are very nice. Several other graves have stones three feet or higher.
