
Bangor Episcopal Church, located in Churchtown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, was founded in the year 1722 by Welsh settlers. In 1734, the first church was built of logs. The stone church was completed in 1756; the present stone church was built in 1830. In 1844, the chapel (Sunday School) was built by the Bangor Churchwomen. The steeple bell was installed in 1896. Bangor Church was added to the National Register of Historical Places in 1987. The cemetery is now closed to new burials. The oldest tombstone is dated 1741.
There is a recently erected monument near the East wall for the burial of cremains.
