The Beth Hamedrash Hagodol - Beth Jacob Cemetery is located in the residential district of McKees Rocks, a borough of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
It is affiliated with the Orthodox Jewish congregations Beth Hamedrash Hagodol and Beth Jacob. In 1964 the two congregations merged into Beth Hamedrash Hagodol-Beth Jacob. They now have a common synagogue and the same burying grounds. Burial information is provided by the Beth Hamedrash Hagodol-Beth Jacob Synagogue of Pittsburgh, PA; phone number shown above.
The cemetery is gated, about 4 acres in size. It lies up and over a hilltop with burials on both sides. The older Beth Hamedrash Hagodol section occupies the northwest portion of the cemetery, referred to as the "Lower Section". Beth Hagodol is land locked by Beth Jacob which covers the eastern 2/3's of the cemetery. Newer burials predominately take place in Beth Jacob's section.
The cemetery is a difficult walk, hampered by aggressively sloped terrain in some areas and littered with ground hog holes.
