Image Right - Anne Bracegirdle (c. 1671 – 12 September 1748) was an English actress.
The purpose of this project is to collate the various disconnected branches of the Bracegirdle tree on GENi to see if they can be connected to one another.

- Leyton Bracegirdle has worked in music, TV and radio in the UK, Australia and Sweden for the past 15 years. Straight out of University, Leyton became Head of Music for Metro FM in the North East of England. A transfer to London’s Hit Music Station 95.8 Capital FM soon followed. There, he spent five years programming music, working on major events and interviewing the likes of Celine Dion, Beyoncé and Usher. - The Bracegirdle Incident is the true story of how an Australian communist labour agitator almost brought down the British colonial government in Ceylon in 1936. Unknown in Australia, the case of Mark Anthony Lyster Bracegirdle became a cause celebre in Ceylon’s independence struggle, and his name remains revered among the Left in Sri Lanka today. The son of an artistic English blue stocking, Bracegirdle arrived in Australia in 1927. He joined the Communist Party of Australia and quickly became a ‘bagman’, or financial organiser, attracting the attention of the Commonwealth security service.
