The land for the church and adjoining cemetery was donated by Gerhard Brumbach (Brownback). Because of that donation and because of the active part he took in helping to found the church, it was called "Brumbach's Church," and later, "Brownback's Reformed Church of East Coventry."

It is also known as The Church is located at 640 Ridge Road (which is Rt. 23).
