Cathedral Cemetery was established in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware and incorporated as Catholic Cemeteries, Inc. in 1876. It served as the only Diocesan Cemetery in Wilmington until the opening of All Saints Cemetery in 1958. Since its establishment, Cathedral Cemetery has gone through many renovations. In 1963, The Queen of Apostles Crypt was built and dedicated. It was the first communal mausoleum in the Diocesan Cemeteries. In 1996, the cemetery was further expanded and renovated. In 2016, Christ the King Garden Mausoleum was erected near the entrance of the cemetery.
