Cedar Grove Cemetery, Flushing, Queens, New York

Cedar Grove Cemetery was originally part of the estate of colonial governor Cadwallader Colden. It officially opened in 1893 and 5 years later, in 1897, 20,000 souls from Union Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY were disinterred and moved there. Both the Colden Family burial ground and Mount Hebron, the Jewish cemetery are sections of Cedar Grove.
