Cedar Grove Cemetery's mission is to provide a dignified, Christian burial for members of the Notre Dame community and their families. The landscaping of the grounds and architectural design of the mausolea testifies to our commitment to provide a space for prayerful reflection, contemplation, and consolation that expresses faith, hope, and love in perpetuity.
This cemetery is located on the University of Notre Dame campus on the southwest corner of the intersection of N. Notre Dame Avenue and Holy Cross Drive, in Notre Dame, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and provides burials to members of the Notre Dame community. The cemetery was established in 1843 and is 22 acres in size. The cemetery opened the Our Lady of Sorrows mausoleum complex in 2007. Mary, Holy Mother of the Church mausoleum and Mary, Holy Mother of God mausoleum opened in 2013.
