This cemetery dates back to c1842. It was originally associated with Bethlehem Methodist Protestant Church and known as Bethlehem Cemetery. This property was originally owned by Henry Swartz, then by Jacob C. Sidle, who donated an acre of land for the use as a cemetery.
The cemetery is located on Bethlehem–Claibourne Road at Route 37, two miles south of Richwood, in Union County, Ohio.
