Clarksburg United Methodist Church is located on Spire Street which is just north of the intersection of Maryland 355 and 121 in Clarksburg, Montgomery County, Maryland. Ebenezer Chapel began on the site in 1788. During the Civil War and until the early 20th century it was known a Clarksburg Methodist Episcopal Church. In the 1930's Clarksburg ME Church was renamed Clarksburg Methodist Church and in the 1970's was finally renamed as Clarksburg United Methodist Church.
