FC Dallas is an American professional soccer club based in the Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. The club competes in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS), which is the top league in the United States and Canada. The franchise is one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, having competed in the league since its inception, and was known as the Dallas Burn prior to the 2005 season.

In regular season play, the team's best finish was in 2016, when they finished in first in the Western Conference and won the Supporters' Shield for the first time. In 2010, they were runners-up to the Colorado Rapids in the MLS Cup. The team has won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, in the 1997 edition against D.C. United in a penalty shootout.

Dallas plays its home games at the 20,295-capacity soccer-specific Toyota Stadium, where they have played since 2005. The team is owned by Hunt Sports Group (led by Clark Hunt, who with other members of the Hunt family, also owns the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs). The head coach since 2014 is former FC Dallas player Óscar Pareja.
