Fischer Cemetery, Fort Payne, Alabama

To reach cemetery from Fort Payne, in DeKalb County, Alabama, go 1 3/4 miles E. on Hwy 35, then 2 1/2 miles N. E. on Hwy 89 (same as Lookout Mountain Parkway) to Fischer Crossroads, then 1/4 mile S. on Fisher Road NE, then 1/4 mile E. on Hawthorne Dr. NE (behind Fischer School)

This might have started as a family cemetery, but it appears to be a community cemetery. The cemetery came into being with the first burial of Crucilla Fischer in 1866.

This cemetery was surveyed by Ralph H. and Louise Allred on Sep 03, 1966. I have transcribed it for the internet with their permisson. Data entered into computer by: Cortney Jones.
