Brief description, ownership, and history: "Forest Hill Cemetery consists of about 40 acres in the Village of Fredonia. The entrance is on Lambert Avenue. Formerly a private cemetery, it is now owned and maintained by the Town of Pomfret. Record books survive, and Town of Pomfret personnel are available for questions by appointment. This transcript consists of data from the "Burials by Date" sections of Record Books One and Two. It covers known burials from late 1854 through about 1930. Some maiden names, spouse names, and related items have been have been added from other sources by the 2006 transcribers, Lois and Norwood Barris."

The cemetery was established in 1854 and is located on 55 Lambert Avenue, Fredonia, Chautauqua County, New York.

To reach the Forest Hill Cemetery, driving northeast as you enter Fredonia NY, turn left or north onto Temple Street and continue for a couple blocks, then turn right onto Lambert Street. This will take you to the cemetery entrance in a few blocks.

This was formerly a private cemetery when it was established. It is now owned and maintained by the Town of Pomfret. The condition of the cemetery is very good.

Record books survive, and Town of Pomfret personnel are available for questions by appointment. This transcript consists of data from the "Burials by Date" section of Record Books One and Two and the beginning of Three. It covers known burials from late 1854 to 1936. Some maiden names, spouse names, and related items have been have been added from other sources by the 2006 transcribers, Lois and Norwood Barris.
