The county boundary of Cattaraugus and Erie Counties goes right through the center of the village of Gowanda, so Gowanda sits in two counties. Holy Cross Cemetery is located in the Erie County portion, sitting on both sides of Cemetery Hill Road, adjacent to Pine Hill Cemetery.
