Indian Mennonite Cemetery resides in Canton, Cantonment Township, Blaine, Oklahoma. The cemetery is also known by the Canton Indian Mennonite Cemetery and the Cantonment Cemetery.
This cemetery is one of the oldest in Blaine County, OK, having been established around 1876. At this time, Christian missionaries were teaching and ministering to the Indians of the area. Many of the graves are without information on the grave markers and many are even without grave markers.
Just as the territory contains several tribes, many tribes are represented in the cemetery: Cheyenne, Arapahoe, Comanche, Wichita, Osage, Seneca-Cayuga....
