REED'S STATION -- Jacob's United Church of Christ, familiarly known as "The Brick Church. Jacob Reed, a pioneer settler who lived near the present site of the church, was the virtual founder for whom the church is named. He was the most substantial contributor. The congregation, from its inception as a union of German Lutheran and Reformed members, was organized prior to 1800. Although accurate history is lacking, proof has been established that religious activities were held as early as 1790.

A log cabin school house, situated on a site in the southeast corner of the present cemetery, preceded two other school buildings on the same site, and ultimately the school was consolidated with others of the district. The third building itself was razed in 1899.

The cemetery is located on Church Road and Roadarmel Lane, Shamrock, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
