Mentioned in Luft, The Naturalized Jews of the Grand Duchy of Posen in 1834 and 1835, Revised Edition, 2004, published by Avotaynu. This Town was in Birnbaum County along with Blesen, Zirke, Kahme and Birnbaum. Schwerin had 153 Jewish individuals that achieved citizenship in this time period. Blesen had 26, Zirke had 44, Kahme had 1 and Birnbaum had 77.
