Tire تيره is a populous district, as well as the center town of the same district, in İzmir Province in western Turkey. There is a Jewish community. According to Avram Galante, first Jews were exiled to Tire during Alexander the Great. The majority of the community was the Sephardic Jews who have sattled at 1500's. Upto 1948 they lived in peace with the Muslim and Orthodox Greek communities.
After the founding of Israel, many of them migrated and at 1960's the community was finished.
