This project seeks to collect all of the Jewish families from the village of Úbočí (Amonsgrün) in Bohemia, Czech Republic.

Cemetery

he village of Úbočí (formerly known under the German name Amonsgrün) is situated half way between Cheb and Mariánské Lázně.

The Jewish cemetery was founded below the ruins of Boršengrýn Castle in the 1830s and it is the only relic of the once thriving local Jewish community. Jewish inhabitants from the village of Úbočí and the nearby Dolní Žandov are buried here. Only 71 tombstones have been preserved to this day. All of them come from the 19th century.
