The Kentucky General Assembly is the state legislature of the U.S. state of Kentucky. Also called the Kentucky Legislature, the Kentucky General Assembly is made up of the Kentucky Senate and the Kentucky House of Representatives. The legislature first convened in 1792, shortly after Kentucky achieved statehood on 1 June 1792.
