Overview:

  • This is a One Name Study to collect everything about this surname and the various spellings. The goal of this project is to trace the Klapperich immigrants from Rhineland Pfalz in the 1800s to the United States, documenting the paper and DNA familial relationships of these immigrants to Johnsburg IL, Fond du Lac WI, San Francisco CA, Chicago, IL, and secondarily to Michigan, Iowa, South Dakota and Minnesota.
  • For inclusion in the project, we recommend linking profles with any of the Klapperich spellings: Klapperich, Klapperick, Klapprich, Klapprich, Kleperich, etc.
  • Anyone who carries the name or is descended from or married to a Klapperich is included.
