Lake Hills is located on the side of the hill surrounding Payne Cemetery, which is located at the very top. It has a beautiful view of the lake, valley and surrounding mountains. The cemetery is kept in excellent condition and is managed by Don Taylor. The first burial was Robert W. Getter September 23, 1967, the son of Martha Hawes and George E. Getter. After George and Martha buried their son, they built the lake and the residential area on the other side. In 1969, they opened the cemetery to the public. (Provided by Bobby and Judy Liles.)
