Although the entrance sign reads Rockport the cemetery is actually located just over the town line in Gloucester.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission does not refer to this cemetery in MACRIS.
This cemetery is referred to as GR3 Folly Cove Cemetery in the "Vital Records of Rockport Massachusetts to the end of the year 1849."
It is also referred to as GR14 Folly Cove Cemetery, at Rockport in the "Vital Records of Gloucester Massachusetts to the end of the year 1849."
The Locust Grove Cemetery is beside the Seaside Cemetery.
