This project is for those interred in Lutheran Cemetery in Russell County, Kansas.

The cemetery has also been known as Dubuque Lutheran Cemetery and Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

From Dubuque in Barton County drive north on Ne 90 Ave, then left onto S County Line Rd and turn right onto Dorrance Dubuque Rd for a couple miles, then left onto 198th St to the intersection with Winterset Lane. Cemetery will be on your left. It is about 4 miles distance from Dubuque.

This cemetery was begun by the Immanuel Lutheran Church in the late 1800s. Some refer to it as the Dubuque Lutheran Cemetery, because there are two Immanuel cemeteries in Russell County. It is in good condition and still active.

Immanuel Lutheran Church was constructed three miles north of the Catholic church, and most of the Volga Germans in the area attended there. A school was also built near the Lutheran Church. Only the cemetery remains across the road from the ruins of the Lutheran Church.
