Before posting in a discussion forum.

1. Try your hardest to connect the profile to the tree (or at least a significant stand-alone tree)

2. Check https://www.geni.com/curators first to see if there's a specific curator who specializes in your area, to whom you should address your request

3. Make sure the profile overview is well-written with proper grammar, punctuation and source citations.

4. Master Profiles are public, so do not include any information or photographs or other images that you or others might consider to be confidential or private.

5. Consider using the multi-lingual support available on Geni to provide information in different languages where appropriate.

6. Ensure that the text and any pictures in the profile are sourced and do not breach any copyright.

7. Understand that a curated profile is not necessarily a “complete” profile. Geni users should continue to add citations and upload source information to profiles after they become MPs.

In your post:

8. Include the URL of each profile to be curated.

9. Advise if fields (data and relationship) are ready to be locked.

10. Explain why the profile is requested to be made an MP. If for example there are two profiles that are often confused, include the URL of both and state why. Do not assume that curators know your thoughts or are familiar with the context which led to your request for the Master Profile flag.

NOTA BENE! Voordat je een aanvraag doet aan een Curator of in een algemene discussie :

1. Doe je best om het profiel zo snel mogelijk aan de 'grote'-Geni-global-boom te kunnen koppelen. Lukt dat nog niet, maak dan op zijn minst een 'significante' op zichzelf staand stamboompje en vermijdt zo geïsoleerde zonder directe relaties zoals partner, ouders e/o kinderen. (Weet je TE weinig familieleden te vinden, wacht dan met het opnemen van het profiel in Geni.)
2. Kijk eerst op https://www.geni.com/curators om te zien of er een specifieke curator is die gespecialiseerd is in uw gebied, aan wie u uw verzoek kunt richten
3. Zorg dat het profieloverzicht goed geschreven is met de juiste grammatica, interpunctie en bronvermeldingen.
4. Masterprofielen zijn openbaar, dus bevatten geen informatie of foto's of andere afbeeldingen die u of anderen als vertrouwelijk of privé beschouwen.
5. Overweeg om de meertalige ondersteuning op Geni te gebruiken om waar nodig informatie in verschillende talen te verstrekken. In het algemeen wordt het eerste tab blad gebruikt voor de Engelse omschrijving.
6. Zorg ervoor dat de tekst en eventuele afbeeldingen in het profiel afkomstig zijn en geen auteursrechten schenden.
7. Begrijp dat een samengesteld profiel niet noodzakelijkerwijs een "compleet" profiel is. Geni-gebruikers moeten doorgaan met het toevoegen van citaten en het uploaden van broninformatie naar profielen nadat ze parlementslid zijn geworden.

In je bericht:

1. Voeg de URL toe van elk profiel dat moet worden samengesteld.
2. Geef aan of velden (data en relatie) klaar zijn om te worden vergrendeld. (Dit wordt meestal vergeten om te vermelden)
3. Leg uit waarom het profiel wordt gevraagd om MP te worden. Als er bijvoorbeeld twee profielen zijn die vaak door elkaar worden gehaald, vermeld dan de URL van beide en vermeld waarom. Ga er niet vanuit dat curatoren uw gedachten kennen of bekend zijn met de context die heeft geleid tot uw verzoek om de Master Profile-vlag.
