North Shore Memorial Park (aka Schnapper Rock Cemetery), 235 Schnapper Rock Rd, Auckland: North Shore Memorial Park covers 90 acres of landscaped rolling hills that border Lucas Creek leading into the Waitemata Harbour. When several other North Shore suburban and church cemeteries began reaching capacity, land was cleared in 1973 to begin the construction of a new cemetery to cater for all the suburbs of the North Shore. It has several options for burial, cremation and memorials. These include burial plots, ash plots and scattering areas, tree memorials, memorial walls with plaques and a large Returned Serviceperson area. The main building includes the office, a 150 person reception lounge and the crematorium facility.
