This is a project for people who have achieved some degree of notability in the world of ice speed skating. Ideally, we will add the profiles of all internationally-competitive speed skaters for whom we have built trees on Geni.
Definition: a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates. Types of speed skating include long-track speed skating, short-track speed skating, and marathon speed skating.
