Profiles

This project is for those who are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, located on 835 Kaler Avenue, Bucyrus, Crawford County, Ohio.

Although the first burial of record was that of Lillie, the five-year old daughter of John A. & Susan S. Craig , who died November 12, 1858, the remains of many other people have been transferred from other burial places. Many of these are transfers of people who died well before November of 1858.

A fire destroyed burial records from the years 1904-1906. The records which exist in this case are said to have been gleaned from "Cash Book" records. These may not be complete or totally accurate. In the period from 1919 to 1942, the location was not recorded for a great many burials.
