The following is from Mr. Jim Thompson of Colorado of whom I express my deep gratitude for his help. " Arthur Jerome Kerr(1886-1926): Arthure Jerome Kerr was born on Christmas Day, 1886 tu Walter William Kerr and Florence Thomas, in Emelle, Sumter County, Alabama. Arthur was the youngest son in a family of six children. Arthur was listed as a Sophomore at Meharry Dental College in 1912, in Nashville, Tennessee.He graduated frome on April 21,1916. In 1916,Arthur was practicing Dentistry in Pensacola, Escambia county, Florida. He married Edith Maude Gilling there on June 12,1916. Sometime around 1921 Arthur contracted turberculosis , probably from one of his patients.He and his wife Edith moved to Monrovia, California in 1922.He practice Dentistry there until 1926. He returned to Emelle, Sumter County Alabama when he was very ill.He died there on May 23,1926, three days after he arrived.His death certificate was signed by his father, W.W.Kerr. His is buried in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arthur and Edith never had children. Arthur's with Edith married Teddy Roosevelt Campfieild in Los Angeles, California on June 15,1946.She maintained in Los Angeles until her death in 1977."
