Scope of project

This project identifies individuals involved in the Pueblo Revolt of 1680, also known as Popé's Rebellion, or the St. Lawrence Day Massacre, an uprising of the Pueblo people against Spanish colonization of the Americas in the New Spain province of New Mexico. During the revolt twenty-one of the province's forty Franciscans, three hundred and eighty Spaniards, counting men, women and children, and un unknown number of the Pueblo people were killed.
