This project is for those who are buried in Saint Francis Cemetery, Munjor, Ellis County, Kansas.

The original Saint Francis Cemetery was a two-and-one-quarter acre tract of land southwest of the town of Munjor which was set aside as the Catholic burial ground by the Munjor Town and Grazing Company. In 1907 the cemetery property was enlarged to five acres. The exact boundary of the cemetery was not marked at that time so in 1911 Father Matthew Savelsberg had the property surveyed and began construction on a new fence and entry gate around the cemetery. In 1911 a large cross was erected in the center of the cemetery which was replaced in 1954 by a crucifixion scene in 1954.

The first burial according to the book "Grains of Wheat" was Agnes Fischer Leiker, wife of Conrad Leiker. She died on September 29th, 1876. (Text by R. McKale)
