This project is for those buried in Salem Union Church Cemetery, Moorestown, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
Salem "Big Moore" Union Church was dissolved in 1971 and became the Salem United Church of Christ. The cemetery contains burials from both faiths and was closed to new burials in the 1940's.
When Salem Union Church Cemetery began to fill up in the late 1880's additional burials were made at the then new Fairview Cemetery which is located about a tenth of a mile down the road. Both cemeteries were commonly referred to as the Moorestown Cemetery as Fairview Cemetery was for a long time considered an extension of the Church Cemetery. The confusion this created continues to this day. The cemetery is also known as Old Moorestown Cemetery and Salem Church Cemetery.
