The cemetery is located in Van Buren County and is also known as Gabby Cemetery, so named for the early members of the Gabby family.
This is a Pioneer Cemetery in the area. Most who are buried here were part of the British Emigrant Mutual Aid Society's Colony or descendants. The cemetery, and the road to it, isn't kept up and is in bad shape and many stones are missing. The ground is overgrown with forest trees.
There are 31 known burials, of which 12 stones are missing or one of the 5 "unknown#" stones.
