The ship Solway was 337 tons, Captain R. Pearson, from Hamburg 9th June 1837, arrived at Port Adelaide (Kangaroo Island), South Australia 16th October 1837

The Solway was a wooden ship built in Sunderland in 1829. On the 21st of December 1837, she broke moorings and was wrecked during a storm in Rosetta Harbor, Encounter Bay.
