SOUTH AFRICAN NPEs

This project lists the South African non-parental events (NPEs) that have been identified through DNA testing.

• Hierdie projek lys die Suid-Afrikaanse gevalle waar daar teenstrydigheid tussen die genealogie en genetiese toetsuitslae bestaan. Onreëlmatighede tussen DNS-toetsuitslae en die genealogie word hier as non-parental events (NPEs) beskryf.

Project Aim - Doel van hierdie projek

The overarching objective of this project is to source suitable test candidates and determine the specific generational point where the NPE occurred.

• Die oorkoepelende doel van hierdie projek is om geskikte toetskandidate te bepaal en die spesifieke generasie waarin die NPE plaasgevind het te probeer vasstel.

CASES - GEVALLE

BARKHUIZEN - Here we have a BARKHUIZEN that does not match the other BARKHUIZEN profiles.

• Hier het ons 'n BARKHUIZEN wat nie die ander BARKHUIZEN profiele match nie.

BECKER - There is a R1a BECKER who has not joined the Cape Dutch DNA Project.

• Daar is 'n ander R1a BECKER maar hy het nog nie by die Kaaps-Hollands DNS Projek aangesluit nie.

DAVEL / HAMMAN - These two Stamvaders originate from the same place and both resided in Stellenbosch. Were they cousins or was there an anomaly? There is another DAVEL DNA test underway.

• Hierdie twee Stamvaders kom van dieselfde plek en het saam in Stellenbosch gewoon. Was hulle dalk neefs, of het 'n "probleem" ingesluip? Ons het nog 'n DAVEL toets oppad.

DE BEER / JACOBS - We are relatively certain that the DE BEER Haplotype has been determined. The DE BEER NPE looks like a JACOBS.

• Ons is redelik seker ons het die regte DE BEER Haplotipe vasgestel. Die DE BEER NPE lyk na 'n JACOBS.

DE BRUYN - Not necessarily an NPE as the one branch is unknown and there exist multiple DE BRUYN Stamvaders.

• Nie noodwendig 'n NPE nie aangesien die een lyn nie bekend is nie en daar meer as een DU BRUYN Stamvader was.

DREYER - Details under review.

GEYSER / HEYNS - We now have a GEYSER result that matches a HEYNS however there is another DNA result from a different GEYSER branch being tested.

• Ons het nou 'n GEYSER uitslag wat match met HEYNS, maar daar is gelukkig nog 'n GEYSER uitslag uit 'n verskillende TAK oppad.

NOLTE - Details under review.

STRAUSS - We have two varying STRAUSS Haplotypes that originate from the Stamvader's two sons. Jaco Strauss has established a STRAUSS Y-DNA Project to try and determine the international connection/origin.

• Ons het basies twee verskillende STRAUSS Haplotipes wat van die Stamvader se twee seuns afstam. Jaco Strauss het reeds 'n STRAUSS Y-DNS Projek om die Internasionale skakel te probeer vind.

STRYDOM - There is a STRYDOM Y-DNA Project and 10 descendants have been tested. Sponsorships are available for suitable test candidates.

• Daar is 'n STRYDOM Y-DNS Projek en 10 afstammelinge word getoets. Borgskappe is beskikbaar vir geskikte kandidate.

VAN MALABAR, Catharina - She has different profiles with two varying mtDNA Haplogroups in the mtDNA test results.

• Sy het verskillende profiele met verskillende mtDNS Haplogroepe in die mtDNS toets uitslae.

VAN NIEKERK / VAN STADEN - There are funds available for suitable VAN STADEN test candidates.

• Borgskappe beskikbaar vir kwalifiserende VAN STADEN.

VAN STADEN / SWANEPOEL - In an attempt to confirm the VAN STADEN Haplotype this individual matched a SWANEPOEL instead.

• In ons poging om VAN STADEN te bevestig, kry ons toe 'n VAN STADEN wat eintlik die SWANEPOEL match.

VILJOEN - Details under review.

VISAGIE / CLOETE - Not certain which of the two is the NPE.

• Weet nie watter een (indien enige) "reg" is nie.

VISAGIE / MEINTJIES (en LAMBRECHT) - There is a VISAGIE that matches a MEINTJIES. The LAMBRECHT is not a member of the DNA Project.

• Daar is 'n VISAGIE wat vir MEINTJIES match. Die Lambrecht is nie deel van ons DNS Projek nie.
