Profiles

The Village Cemetery was established in 1839 using land deeded by heirs of Daniel Lamb Jr. It was called the “New Burying Ground.” In 1891 the cemetery was transferred to the care of a new corporation and renamed South Hadley Falls Cemetery.

Most of those buried in the older Pine Tree Cemetery were removed to the Village Cemetery, as it's known, when a road was built over the Pine Tree Cemetery.

Today the South Hadley Falls Cemetery has over 3,300 graves on its 6.4 acres. The oldest stone dates to 1789.

Located at 148 Main Street and accessed via Cemetery Ave in South Hadley, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. There is a second entrance off Spring Street.
