L'Héritage de Jean Thiery (1579-1676)
The "Jean Thiery" affair may be the oldest, most impressive, and 'open' inheritance case in history. This Geni-project aims to offer a historical and genealogical framework around this affair - including documentation. Available information on the Web seems sporadic and fragmented. This project may help to provide a permanent, publicly accessible repository - not with the intent to 'solve the case' but to provide insight in a most interesting affair. (The working language is English).
L'affaire "Jean Thiery" concerne l'histoire d'héritage probablement la plus durable, plus impressionnante et non-résolue dans l'histoire. Ce projet Geni cherche à pourvoir un encadrement historique et généalogique autout de cette affaire. L'information disponible sur la Toile semble spordaique et fragmentée. Ce projet pour fournir une base d'information permanente et accessible publiquement - non pas dans le but de 'résoudre' cette affaire mais plutôt dans le but d'informer le public au sujet de cas particulièrement intéressant. (Pour des raisons pratiques, la langue de travail est l'anglais).
