This project is for those buried in Traylor Cemetery, Titus County, Texas.

This is a family cemetery that was set aside for the burial of Traylor family members. It has not been used for some time but is well maintained. It is found in the rural Southeast part of Titus County on private land. Dunston Traylor, who is buried here, originally owned the land. A descendent of his, Ida Traylor, owned the land and set aside one acre land for the cemetery. Not all the acre is enclosed but there is a chain link fence around the marked gravesites and the enclosed area is well maintained. It was established prior to the Civil War.
From the Titus County courthouse take Madison Street south for 0.3 miles to the intersection with Ferguson Road (US 272). Turn left on Ferguson and proceed east. Ferguson then changes designation to Texas 49. After 8.2 miles there is currently, as of this writing, a private drive on the right. The remains of the old Traylor home is marked by a standing chimney. The cemetery can be found in the woods about 150 yard northeast of the old homestead.
