
Phillipston was originally incorporated as the town of Gerry, Massachusetts on October 20, 1786. On February 5, 1814 the name was officially changed to Phillipston. In 1803, the town purchased land from Zacheus Green along Baldwinville Road for the Center Cemetery, the first town burial ground.
It's located on Athol Road in Worcester County, Massachusetts and is also known as Phillipston Center Cemetery and Center Burying Ground.
